Last US Open

I still really haven't grasped the fact that this year is the end of a few things for me. I'm sure that will come once it's all over. Naturally, I'm getting into the mindset that I'll be done with some of the things I've had all my life (some thankfully just for a while).
The current of my "last" events is one that I consider to be two of the greatest weeks that there can be in sports: the US Open. Not a lot of people (that I associate with) enjoy watching tennis, which is understandable. It can move a little slow and it can also be difficult to understand at times. Sometimes even I get a little bored during the opening rounds.
The thing that really gets me with this tournament (and grand slams in general) is the emotional buildup throughout the two weeks; all the tough matches grinded  out, the upsets, and the true class shown by these athletes.
I have to say that my absolute favorite moment is when the last point is done and over with and the champion is crowned. The body language is uniform regardless of who the final victor is: the realization of hard work paying off.
I may end up getting the 2016 tournament in depending on when I will be called to serve, but as for now, I'm just soaking this one all in.
